THE MATERIAL THAT RESISTS
The concept on which IvyTex is based has already been used for years in industry in highly stressed areas where moving components need to be protected against wear.
ABUS takes advantage of this idea and uses it as a sheathing for chain locks. On the one hand, this increases protection against abrasion, and on the other, the sheath protects the bike from damage by the chain. In addition to durability, other features speak for the IvyTex technology: Thus, the high-tech fabric is durable and highly flexible. It is weather-resistant and insensitive to liquids. This means, for example, that water is not absorbed by the fabric and the locks are protected against corrosion. So there is no reason not to secure the bike in inclement weather for fear of contamination.
