Knister bike holder for Knister grill

The bike mount was designed specifically for the Knister Grill to facilitate transport to the barbecue or picnic place. No more annoying carrying or lugging! The assembly takes place in a few seconds - here only the bike mount and the spacer must be screwed. Then the bike mount can simply be attached to the bike handlebars. Then the grill is hung from above on it. If this is not needed times, this can also be easily removed again.

Does the holder fit on my handlebars?

Yes - Our patented bike mount fits most bike handlebars. Handlebars have different tube thicknesses and different tilt angles. On road bikes, for example, the angle of inclination is 90° - meaning the handlebar stem is completely horizontal. On women's bikes or Dutch bikes, for example, the handlebar stem is completely vertical. With the adjustable spacer you set the appropriate angle.
Tube thicknesses up to 45mm are possible.
Handlebars with common e-bike displays are possible.
Handlebars with fixed mounts (e.g. klickfix®) are possible. Our bike mount is wider than the mounts of other manufacturers. And the reception from the grill takes place much further forward.

How do I adjust the holder?

The adjustment is done only once and without tools. Insert the spacer (stainless steel pin) into one of the 4 holes. This ensures that the grill does not hang crooked and is suitable for your angle of inclination. For 90% of handlebars, one of the center holes works well. If you have a vertical handlebar (e.g. Dutch bike), use one of the upper holes. If you have a horizontal handlebar (e.g. road bike), use the lowest hole.

Will my handlebars scratch?

No. All parts of the bike mount that could come in contact with your handlebars are wrapped with a leather-rubber protection.

What is the feel like while riding?
Does it rattle?

The riding experience is pretty much the same as when you ride with a front bike basket (on a women's bike, for example). Suddenly you have a few kilograms of weight at the front of the handlebars - you have to get used to this for 1-2 minutes. But that goes pretty quickly. There are already countless other products that you can strap to the handlebars.

The grill made of metal and actually resembles a sound body. So if you just put loose cutlery in the body, it rattles of course. We therefore recommend coal, sausage wrappers and co. to transport in the grill - these are super sound absorbers and then nothing rattles at all. To additionally secure the grill grate, you can use the small thumbscrew and thus protect the grate from "jumping out".

Is the bracket permanently on the handlebar? Theft?

No, the bracket is not permanently attached to the handlebar. It is merely "rotated around the handlebars" and stabilizes itself by the weight of the grill. Neither the grill, nor the mount are bolted to the handlebars in any way. So if you're worried about thieves, you'd better take the grill and bracket inside.

Which bikes does it not fit?

From time to time it happens that there are very special handlebars that we can not cover. With extremely narrow racing bike or bullhorn handlebars, it can happen that the grill does not fit between them (the grill is about 30cm wide without wooden handles, with wooden handles about 42cm) - here it can happen that the wooden handles then rest on top of the handlebars. If you have a very large, horizontal fixed display at the front of the handlebars, it becomes problematic. It becomes critical with BMX bikes or handlebars where there is no handlebar stem at all. Extremely wide carbon triathlon handlebars do not work either. However, we generally advise against attaching the grill to a carbon handlebar.
