Whether you want to sauté food in the Dutch oven lid as if using a pan or sizzle meat and vegetables on the pro-ft series grill grate—the multifunctional charcoal tray is perfect for the job. It holds approximately 14–18 standard barbecue briquettes and can be transported in the ft6 (and larger models) with the handles retracted. The charcoal tray is one of four products in the pro-ft series and can be perfectly combined with them, enabling a wide variety of cooking methods.

The holes in the rim turn the charcoal tray into a practical chimney starter. Once the coals are glowing, a fire pot is placed on top. Thanks to its 23.5 cm diameter, the pro-ft charcoal tray is ideally suited for the ft6 and ft9 fire pots.

If the charcoal tray is clamped onto the hooks of the inverted pro-ft lid holder, the Dutch oven lid can be used like a pan. The heat of the pan can be individually adjusted, as the charcoal tray can be mounted at various heights.

Grilling also works perfectly: Instead of the lid, the pro-ft grill grate can be clamped into the lid holder and combined with the charcoal tray. With this option as well, the heat can be adjusted as desired, since the charcoal tray can be attached at different heights.
