Petromax Cast Iron Quality

Thanks to the excellent properties of cast iron and its special surface structure, heat is efficiently stored and transferred. The pre-treated surface (seasoned finish) eliminates the need for an initial seasoning process, and the sturdy Dutch oven can be used immediately. Outdoors, it is used over an open fire or with charcoal. The raised rim of the lid allows embers or charcoal to be placed directly on top of the Dutch oven. This heats the Dutch oven from all sides, making it suitable for baking bread, for example.

Maximum cooking pleasure thanks to sophisticated details

The Dutch oven features sophisticated details that make it easier to handle and enhance the cooking experience. A sturdy handle allows for safe lifting of the Dutch oven, and a thermometer port enables you to check the temperature without having to lift the lid. This version of the Dutch oven has no feet and features a flat bottom. If you want to lift the hot lid, this is particularly easy with the Petromax lid lifter. Another highlight is that the lid can also be used as a pan when turned upside down. Along with all these sophisticated details, the Dutch oven features the classic Petromax design: The lid is adorned with the elegant Petromax logo, which has always stood for excellent quality and high-quality products.

Available in various sizes and expandable with practical accessories

The Petromax Dutch oven is available in several sizes, so you can choose the right pot for your recipe or the number of people. All Dutch oven sizes are available with legs or with a flat bottom. In the tall, medium-sized ft9 version without legs, the Dutch oven has a capacity of approx. 8.0 liters. This allows you to prepare meals for 8 to 14 people. In addition to the lid lifter, other accessories are available for the Petromax Dutch oven, such as the carrying and storage bag, the care paste, and the ring cleaner for cleaning cast iron. We also offer trivets and cast iron grates, which primarily allow for cooking and baking without burning.
