The grill grate is one of four products in the pro-ft series and can be perfectly combined with them, enabling a wide variety of cooking methods. The grill grate can also be transported and stored in a Petromax Dutch oven starting with size ft6.
Use with the pro-ft Dutch oven lid holder as a grill
The grill grate is clamped into the pro-ft lid holder in place of a Dutch oven lid and turned upside down. Then, place the pro-ft charcoal tray underneath at any desired height, and you’re ready to grill.
Use with the pro-ft lid holder and pro-ft charcoal tray as a smoker
Simply mount the grill grate on the pro-ft lid holder as for grilling, and place smoking chips and briquettes in the pro-ft charcoal tray. Then position the tray at a variable height and place a Dutch oven over it for smoking.
Use with Dutch ovens as an insert for steaming or baking
Place the grill grate inside an ft6 or larger pot for steaming and baking—without the food coming into contact with the pot’s bottom.
