The Petromax silicone coaster is a lightweight, non-slip base for the HK500 kerosene lamp. With a temperature resistance range of -40°C to 230°C, it provides reliable protection for the surface when the high-intensity lamp is in use. The silicone coaster also serves as a stand for the fire pots ft0.5 to ft3 (with or without feet) and the lids of the two smallest fire pots when you need a free hand during or after cooking. It is also suitable as a base for other products, such as the two smallest fire pans, percolators, teapots, and enamel milk and saucepan pots. After use, the trivet can be hung by the eyelet. To clean, simply place the trivet flat in the dishwasher or wash it with a mild dish soap.
Coaster for Collectors and Retro Fans
The silicone coaster is sure to delight not only fans of the 1910-patented lantern but also retro enthusiasts. The original HK500 lamp is featured on the front of the coaster: the dome, frame, wick guard, hand wheel, and tank are highlighted, while rays suggest the impressive light output of over 400 watts. The inner rim is perfectly shaped to hold the HK500 tank, and a raised rim safely catches any Petromax Alkan that drips while filling. When the hand pump is operated to achieve the required operating pressure to feed the kerosene into the carburetor, the HK500 remains securely and non-slip on the coaster.
The back features the iconic Petromax logo used since the company’s founding, with the facing dragons symbolizing the strong brand and the sun at their center as a life-giving light. Fire, strength, and light united in a single logo, with the letter “G” always referencing the founder of the original brand: Max Graetz.
